Pankaj Rathod has taken on an expanded mandate at Network18 Media & Investments, adding revenue leadership for History TV18 to his existing portfolio.
According to a LinkedIn update, Rathod, who currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer for English and business channels at Network18, will now oversee revenue for History TV18 as well. His portfolio already includes key channels such as CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC Bajar, and CNN News18.
Rathod described History TV18 as more than just a channel, positioning it as a storytelling platform that blends knowledge, curiosity, and entertainment. He highlighted the unique value of infotainment in a fragmented content landscape, noting that it offers advertisers a more immersive and meaningful way to connect with engaged audiences.
His expanded role comes at a time when advertisers are increasingly looking for differentiated environments to reach consumers. Rathod emphasised his intent to build stronger partnerships and unlock new opportunities for brands, while further strengthening the channel’s positioning in the market.
Rathod brings over two decades of experience in media sales across television and print. He joined Network18 in April 2024 as National Revenue Head for the CNBC network and CNN News18, before being elevated to Chief Revenue Officer for English and business channels in October 2025. Prior to this, he spent five years at CNBC-TV18, where he rose to the position of National Sales Head.
His earlier career includes a six-and-a-half-year stint at Times Now, where he handled advertising sales across key sectors such as BFSI, auto, education, FMCG, and telecom. He has also worked with organisations like Zee Entertainment Enterprises, ABP Group, and Tata Infomedia.
With his expanded responsibilities, History TV18 is set to benefit from Rathod’s extensive experience in driving revenue growth across some of India’s most competitive broadcast properties, as Network18 looks to strengthen its positioning in the infotainment and premium content space.
