Amagi has introduced an AI-powered artwork generation and transformation engine aimed at eliminating one of the most time-consuming processes in the streaming ecosystem—manual resizing and adaptation of promotional creatives across platforms.
According to a company press release, the new capability is part of its cloud-based platform Amagi NOW and is powered by Amagi Intelligence. It enables media companies to move from raw video content to fully formatted, platform-ready artwork within a single workflow, without relying on external creative tools.
The newly launched system addresses a long-standing challenge for content distributors, where a single title often requires multiple artwork versions tailored for FAST channels, OTT platforms, connected TVs, and social media. Each format typically demands different aspect ratios, layouts, and localization, leading to hours of manual work and repeated revisions. With this AI-driven engine, the process is automated end-to-end.
A key feature of the solution is its ability to analyse video content frame-by-frame to identify the most representative image that captures the essence of a title. Instead of relying on static templates or manual selection, the AI evaluates visual composition, subject prominence, and emotional context to generate a base artwork. This image can then be reviewed and refined by editorial teams before final deployment, ensuring creative control remains intact.
Once approved, the system automatically transforms the base image into multiple formats such as 16:9 for connected TVs, 9:16 for mobile devices, 1:1 for social platforms, and other required ratios. It also ensures compliance with platform-specific design requirements, including safe zones and branding overlays, reducing the likelihood of rejection by distribution partners.
The workflow is integrated within Amagi’s Media Manager, allowing teams to add logos, title treatments, and design elements directly within the platform. Features such as role-based access, preview tools, and audit trails provide transparency and collaboration across teams.
Commenting on the launch, Srividhya Srinivasan said the innovation is designed to help creative teams keep pace with the growing complexity of content distribution. She noted that by enabling AI to understand the “narrative soul” of a video, the company aims to reduce operational bottlenecks while preserving creative integrity.
The new AI Artwork Engine is now available to existing Amagi NOW users, with a broader rollout planned from the second quarter of 2026. With this launch, Amagi is positioning itself to address scalability challenges in global streaming, where speed, consistency and multi-platform adaptability have become critical to success.
