MTV Splitsvilla-famed Divya Aggarwal is set to star opposite Rajniesh Duggal in director Saurabhh Chaubey’s paranormal suspense drama ‘The Wardrobe,’ which is scheduled to hit theatres on April 24. The supernatural thriller marks an intriguing addition to the horror genre, promising a gripping and atmospheric cinematic experience.
According to a UNI report, the project is produced by Jyoti Raj Gavali, with Raj Gavali serving as co-producer. Raj Gavali Production recently unveiled the film’s first-look poster, offering a haunting glimpse into the unsettling world of the upcoming thriller.
The poster sets an ominous tone, depicting a spectral woman emerging from a weathered, half-open wooden wardrobe wrapped in creeping vines. Bathed in an eerie red glow, the figure—dressed in a blood-stained white gown—creates a chilling atmosphere of fear and suspense. The smoky surroundings and shadowy backdrop further heighten the supernatural mood, hinting at dark secrets concealed behind the wardrobe doors.
Divya Aggarwal is set to make her Bollywood debut with the film. She is widely known for winning reality shows such as Bigg Boss OTT and MTV Ace of Space. Expressing her excitement about the project, the actor said the film challenged her creatively and allowed her to explore the horror genre on the big screen. She described the story as gripping and atmospheric, adding that she is eager for audiences to experience it.
Rajniesh Duggal also shared his enthusiasm for the project, noting that the film offers a fresh perspective on the supernatural genre. He said the script immediately stood out for its unique blend of suspense and psychological elements, adding that the poster only offers a glimpse of what viewers can expect from the film.
Blending paranormal themes with psychological tension, ‘The Wardrobe’ aims to deliver an intense narrative centred on fear, mystery and hidden truths, setting the stage for a suspense-driven theatrical release in April.
