Panorama Studios has entered into a strategic overseas worldwide distribution partnership with Phars Film (PHF), marking a significant step in expanding the global reach of its Malayalam cinema slate across key international markets. The collaboration covers four Malayalam films and is aimed at strengthening international theatrical presence and box-office potential.
According to an ANI report, the overseas rollout under this partnership will begin with the international release of ‘Anomie’, starring Rahman and Bhavana, scheduled for February 6. This will be followed by the Malayalam version of ‘Drishyam 3’ on April 2, along with Tikitaka and Panorama Studios Production No. 3, completing the four-film slate.
A major highlight of the deal is ‘Drishyam 3’, the next chapter in one of Malayalam cinema’s most successful and globally recognised thriller franchises, headlined by Mohanlal. With strong overseas brand recall and a proven international track record, the film is expected to anchor the partnership and drive wider theatrical reach across global markets.
The slate also includes ‘Tikitaka’, featuring Asif Ali in the lead, and Panorama Studios Production No. 3, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose. Together, the films underline Panorama Studios’ continued focus on content-driven storytelling backed by established talent from the Malayalam film industry.
Under the agreement, Phars Film, founded by Ahmad Golchin, will handle sole responsibility for overseas worldwide distribution and exhibition of all four titles. With an extensive international cinema network and experience in distributing Hollywood, Bollywood, and world cinema, PHF brings significant global market expertise to the collaboration.
Commenting on the association, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Chairman of Panorama Studios, said that international markets are playing an increasingly central role in the success of Indian films. He noted that Phars Film’s global distribution strength and understanding of overseas audiences make it a strong partner for a slate that reflects Panorama’s emphasis on story-led, talent-driven cinema.
Ahmad Golchin, Founder of Phars Film, said Panorama Studios has consistently delivered high-quality Indian films that resonate with global audiences. He added that the company is excited to collaborate on the diverse slate and ensure the films reach viewers worldwide in a meaningful and impactful manner.
Both Panorama Studios and Phars Film see the partnership as a long-term move toward building a robust global pipeline for Indian cinema with strong international appeal, reinforcing the growing footprint of Malayalam films beyond domestic markets.
