The FIA Extreme H World Cup, the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport championship, has extended its broadcast partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) through the end of the 2028 season, ensuring continued access for Indian audiences to one of the most forward-looking properties in global motorsport.
As stated in a press release issued on January 20, 2026, the multi-year renewal builds on a collaboration first announced in 2024. Under the agreement, SPNI will continue to deliver live race coverage, highlights and exclusive digital content across its television channels and streaming platform Sony LIV, bringing fans closer to the action from every round of the championship.
The extension comes at a time when India is emerging as a key growth market for clean mobility and hydrogen technologies. Both organisations said the renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting sustainable innovation while engaging a new generation of motorsport fans, engineers and technology enthusiasts.
Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International at Sony Pictures Networks India, said the collaboration has struck a chord with viewers who are keen on premium motorsport and inspired by Extreme H’s sustainability-driven mission. He added that strengthening the partnership will allow SPNI to continue showcasing the evolution of hydrogen-powered racing to audiences across the country.
