Former ‘Bigg Boss 17’ contestant Isha Malviya is all set to take her first step into Punjabi cinema with her big-screen debut in the upcoming film ‘Ishqa’n De Lekhe’. The actress will be seen sharing screen space with popular Punjabi singer and actor Gurnam Bhullar, marking a new phase in her acting journey.
As per an ANI report, Isha announced the project on social media by sharing the film’s poster on Instagram. The poster revealed the names of the lead characters, with Isha portraying Jasneet and Bhullar essaying the role of Samar. Adding a playful touch to the announcement, Isha captioned the post, “samjhi pagli? Samar and Jasneet in a parallel universe gurnambhullarofficial get ready for #ishqandelekhe,” sparking excitement among her fans.
Directed by Manvir Brar and written by Jassi Lohka, ‘Ishqa’n De Lekhe’ is described as a romantic drama. The makers have announced that the film is slated for a theatrical release on March 6, 2026, and is expected to appeal to audiences who enjoy heartfelt love stories rooted in Punjabi culture.
Isha began her journey in the entertainment industry at a young age, participating in popular dance reality shows such as ‘Boogie Woogie’, ‘Dance India Dance’ and ‘Dance Plus’. She later rose to widespread recognition with her appearance on ‘Bigg Boss 17’, where she emerged as one of the most talked-about contestants of the season. Although she was evicted in Week 14, she narrowly missed securing a spot in the finale and left a strong impression on viewers.
Following her stint on ‘Bigg Boss 17’, Isha appeared in ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’ alongside Abhishek Kumar. She has also remained connected to her roots in dance and recently drew attention for her performance in the song Shaky. With ‘Ishqa’n De Lekhe’, Isha now looks to expand her horizons and make a promising start on the big screen in Punjabi cinema.
