In a thrilling showdown, popular stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged triumphant as the winner of ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 17. The finale, broadcast on the Colors channel, saw Faruqui surpass actor Abhishek Kumar through live voting.
The intense competition featured five finalists, including actors Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and social media personality Arun Mahashetty. Special guest superstar Ajay Devgn graced the last episode, adding to the excitement, PTI reported from Mumbai.
The finale witnessed the eviction of Arun first, followed by Ankita and Mannara. Hosted by superstar Salman Khan, the grand announcement declared Munawar Faruqui as the ultimate winner, securing a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a car.
Faruqui’s victory was not unexpected, as social media buzzed with predictions in his favor. The comedian, who gained notoriety in 2021 for a stand-up controversy, had previously won ‘Lock Upp’ Season 1 in 2022, hosted by Kangana Ranaut.
Throughout ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 17, Faruqui entertained both housemates and viewers with his wit and charm. His personal life became a focal point of discussions, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the reality show.
The season, which commenced on October 15, 2023, featured 17 contestants, including Vicky Jain, Ayesha Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, Jigna Vora, Firoza Khan alias Khanzaadi, and Rinku Dhawan. Faruqui’s victory adds another feather to his eventful journey in the world of reality television.
