Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) will broadcast WWE Superstar John Cena’s final match live on Sunday, December 14, marking a major moment for wrestling fans across India and the subcontinent.
The telecast comes as part of SPNI’s newly announced WWE programming lineup, which will include WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and WWE Evolve across India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
According to a Sony Sports Network announcement, the multi-year agreement brings back the iconic WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event — a primetime special known for its retro-style branding and high-stakes matchups featuring top performers from WWE Raw and SmackDown.
The network will also air WWE Evolve, launched in March 2025, which highlights emerging talent from the WWE Performance Center, the indie circuit, and the Next in Line program, blending in-ring action with behind-the-scenes reality content to showcase the next wave of WWE Superstars.
All episodes of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Sony’s television channels and Sony LIV, reinforcing SPNI’s long-standing association with WWE and its commitment to bringing premier sports entertainment to South Asian audiences.
The spotlight, however, firmly rests on John Cena’s farewell bout. Celebrated as one of WWE’s greatest icons, Cena has spent two decades shaping modern sports entertainment through his charisma, resilience, and unmatched connection with fans. His final match, airing exclusively on Sony Sports Network, promises to be a historic and emotional milestone for viewers who have followed his storied career.
Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer – Distribution & International Business and Head – Sports Business, Sony Pictures Networks India, said the network is thrilled to bring both Saturday Night’s Main Event and WWE Evolve to audiences. “WWE has a deep and long-standing connection with Indian audiences, and this partnership allows us to showcase the unmatched energy, drama and athleticism of WWE to millions of fans. We are also extremely proud to be the exclusive destination in India and the subcontinent for fans to see legendary WWE Superstar John Cena’s final match this December,” he said.
John Cena’s much-anticipated final appearance will air on December 14 at 6.30 am on Sony Sports Ten 1 SD & HD, Sony Sports Ten 3 Hindi SD & HD, Sony Sports Ten 4 Tamil SD, Sony Sports Ten 4 Telugu SD, and will also stream live on Sony LIV.
