Raj and DK’s much-awaited ‘The Family Man Season 3’ has smashed viewership records, emerging as Prime Video India’s most-watched series of 2025 within its first week of release.
Premiered on November 21, the high-octane spy-action thriller not only outperformed the previous two seasons but also topped every other title launched on the service this year.
The show was trending in the Top 5 across more than 35 countries — including the UK, Canada, Australia, the UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia — while reaching an impressive 96 percent of pincodes in India during its debut week.
According to a press release issued by Prime Video, the third season has delivered the franchise’s strongest opening yet, reinforcing its long-standing popularity among viewers and critics since its launch in 2019. The unprecedented global traction and India-wide penetration underline the show’s growing fandom and the franchise’s expanding cultural footprint.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the “spectacular reception” once again showcased the audience’s deep connection with the series. He credited the gripping narrative, standout performances, and Raj and DK’s unmistakable storytelling style for making the show one of the most loved thrillers on the platform.
Raj and DK, who created, wrote, and directed the series along with Suman Kumar, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, especially after a four-year wait since the last season. They said the continued affection from fans pushed them to make the new season “bigger, better, and more engaging,” promising to keep raising the bar for unconventional storytelling.
Season 3 marks the return of Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, with a powerful ensemble that includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur joining franchise favourites Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Gul Panag. Produced under D2R Films, the season also features dialogues by Sumit Arora, with Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth stepping in as directors alongside Raj and DK.
As the franchise continues to redefine the Indian spy-thriller space, ‘The Family Man’s’ newest chapter has not only met expectations but far exceeded them, strengthening its place as one of the biggest homegrown streaming hits of the decade.
