Global streaming platform, Netflix has officially announced that ‘One Piece’ S2, titled ‘One Piece: Into the Grand Line’, will premiere on March 10, 2026.
The upcoming chapter promises grander adventures, new locations, and even fiercer adversaries as Luffy and his crew sail into the most dangerous stretch of sea known to pirates the Grand Line.
According to a Netflix newsroom report, the new season finds the Straw Hat Pirates exploring an array of thrilling new territories, including Loguetown where Pirate King Gold Roger (played by Michael Dorman) was executed and Reverse Mountain, a perilous summit where the river defies gravity and flows upward. The crew will also navigate the pirate haven of Whiskey Peak and the prehistoric island of Little Garden, setting the stage for an even bolder journey filled with mystery and wonder.
As revealed by co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz, the second season will also transport viewers to Drum Island, famed for its doctors and endless winter. “Drum Kingdom is a winter island. It’s our medieval ‘Winterfell from Game of Thrones’, where you have this haunted-seeming castle at the top of a snowy mountain inhabited by someone the villagers say is a witch,” Tracz shared. Though filming took place in sunny Cape Town, South Africa, the team recreated the frosty landscape using “piles and piles of fake snow,” he said.
‘One Piece: Into the Grand Line’ is set to raise the stakes even higher than its predecessor. “Everything gets bigger. We are going to see giants and dinosaurs. We end up in the belly of a whale,” Tracz teased. “At the end of the first season, our characters made this pledge around a barrel to achieve their dreams, and in Season 2, we put those dreams to the test. Every island challenges one of the Straw Hats in a unique way — and they’ll learn that to fulfill their dreams, they must rely on each other.”
The live-action adaptation stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Season 2 also introduces Charithra Chandran as the mysterious Miss Wednesday.
Produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) in partnership with Shueisha and Netflix, One Piece continues to be one of the streaming platform’s most ambitious live-action projects, faithfully bringing Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga to life.
‘One Piece Season 1’ is now streaming on Netflix, while the much-awaited Season 2 will set sail March 10, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
