ZEE5 is set to premiere the Telugu horror-thriller ‘Kishkindhapuri’ on October 17, 2025. Directed by Koushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film features Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles, alongside Makarand Deshpande and Tanikella Bharani. After its theatrical release, the film is now gearing up for a highly awaited digital debut on the platform.
According to an ANI report, ‘Kishkindhapuri’ unfolds against the eerie backdrop of an abandoned radio station. The story follows a group of visitors who embark on a ghost tour, only to unknowingly awaken a dormant spirit. What begins as harmless curiosity soon spirals into a chilling nightmare as the group finds itself trapped within the station’s haunted walls with no way out.
Sharing his experience, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas said, “This was one of the toughest roles I’ve taken on because horror requires you to react to things that aren’t always there in front of you. As an actor, it pushed me out of my comfort zone; I had to constantly live in that atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Even off-camera, the eerie setting of the radio station lingered with me. I think audiences will enjoy how the film keeps you guessing at every turn.”
Co-star Anupama Parameswaran added, “What excited me about Kishkindhapuri was how real everything felt. My character isn’t a ‘horror heroine’ stereotype; she feels fear, she breaks down, she questions herself, but she also finds strength in the most unexpected moments. That human side of survival is what I hope people will connect with. For me, shooting in those haunting locations was an experience in itself—it almost felt like the environment was pushing us deeper into our roles.”
Blending folklore with psychological suspense, ‘Kishkindhapuri’ promises an atmospheric horror experience packed with haunting visuals and gripping performances. The film is set to premiere exclusively on ZEE5 on October 17 at 6pm.
