Colors Kannada, Karnataka’s most-loved general entertainment channel, marked Independence Day with a grand statewide celebration that blended patriotism, culture, and local pride under the theme ‘Namma Desha, Namma Hemme.’ From temples to schools, from flag hoisting ceremonies to cultural activities, the channel’s artists and communities came together across all 31 districts of Karnataka, creating a spectacle of unity and diversity.
In a press release, Colors Kannada highlighted that the initiative was more than just a symbolic event — it was a heartfelt effort to reconnect artists with the communities they belong to. “For us, Independence Day is not just a celebration, but a reminder of what binds us together as a nation. With ‘Namma Desha’, ‘Namma Hemme’, we wanted to go beyond the screen and truly connect with people across every district of Karnataka. The overwhelming response reinforces that when entertainment is rooted in culture and community, it creates lasting impact,” a Colors Kannada spokesperson said.
This marks the second consecutive year of Colors Kannada’s statewide Independence Day activation. Artists including Trivikram, Radha Bhagavati, Kavya Gowda, Manoj Kumar, Jayanth, Spandana, Ashwin Yadav, Shankar Ashwath, Sukrutha Nag, Suraj, Shilpa Kamath, Jhanavi, Shishir, Amrutha Gowda, Chandana, Gajendra, Chaitra Kundapura, Vidya Shankar Guruji, Priya Savadi, Chandru, Snehith, Neetu, Eshani, and Jyothi travelled to different corners of Karnataka, leading local celebrations with residents and schoolchildren.
The campaign’s impact extended far beyond physical activations. It garnered over 5 million organic views across Colors Kannada’s social media platforms and reached more than 30,000 households on-ground, with over 1 lakh people directly engaging in the festivities.
From Bengaluru to Bidar, Mysuru to Mangalore, and Gulbarga to Kodagu, the celebrations showcased Karnataka’s cultural richness while bringing people together in a shared spirit of patriotism. With Namma Desha, Namma Hemme, Colors Kannada continues to build on its tradition of meaningful Independence Day celebrations that strike an emotional chord with communities across the state.
