After a successful inaugural edition in Mumbai earlier this year, News18 is all set to host the grand finale of Lions International presents ‘News18 SheShakti 2025’ on August 21 in New Delhi. Themed ‘From Breaking Barriers to Building Bharat’, the upcoming edition will highlight the role of women in shaping India’s global vision and nation-building efforts.
According to a press release, SheShakti has over the years established itself as a platform that celebrates women achievers across diverse sectors while providing them space for dialogue and recognition. With two impactful national editions in the past and the first-ever regional edition in Mumbai this year, the initiative has steadily grown into a powerful forum spotlighting women who are driving change and breaking traditional barriers.
This year’s grand finale promises to bring together an exceptional mix of leaders — from policymakers and entrepreneurs to athletes, academicians, artists, and social changemakers — to deliberate on how women are not only overcoming obstacles but also redefining leadership in governance, innovation, grassroots transformation, and nation-building.
The distinguished lineup of speakers includes Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi; Smriti Irani, Former Union Cabinet Minister & Founder of The Alliance for Global Good; Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India; Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, GoI; and Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman & MD, Tractors and Farm Equipment, among others. Adding further depth to the discussions will be renowned personalities such as actors Kriti Sanon and Sanya Malhotra, playback singer Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, JNU Vice-Chancellor Professor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Justice Hima Kohli, senior advocate Geeta Luthra, and multiple women leaders from the fields of healthcare, defence, education, business, sports, and public policy.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Avinash Kaul, CEO of Network18 (Broadcast) & MD, A+E Networks TV18, said, “News18 SheShakti has always been a platform to celebrate, empower, and engage dynamic women from diverse fields. With the successful inaugural regional edition this year, we’re now taking it a notch higher with the third edition and further elevating the conversation around women’s leadership in building the New Bharat.”
Puneet Singhvi, Chief Strategy Officer – Network18 Group, added, “Today, women are leading on all fronts — from business to sports to education — and shaping a New Bharat with inclusivity, compassion, and courage. At SheShakti 2025, we are proud to honour their journey, highlight their impact, and the future they’re building.”
The day-long summit will see bold conversations, inspiring stories, and powerful visions of women who are actively reshaping India’s social and economic landscape. News18 SheShakti 2025, presented by Lions International, will be broadcast live from 11 AM onwards on August 21.
