Telecom operator Vi has rolled out a new campaign for its ‘Vi Nonstop Hero Plan’, a prepaid offering that allows unlimited data on both 4G and 5G handsets for 24 hours a day. Positioned as India’s only full-day unlimited data plan, the initiative underlines Vi’s effort to address the growing demand for uninterrupted internet connectivity across work, learning, entertainment and social interactions.
According to a press release issued by Vi, the Nonstop Hero Plan sits under its broader ‘Hero’ proposition, which also includes Super Hero and Hero plans. Starting at ₹365 per month, the Nonstop Hero offers unlimited 4G and 5G* data without daily limits, ensuring customers do not have to worry about exhausting their quota or spending extra on add-on recharges. The company highlighted that many users typically exhaust their monthly data allowance three to seven times a month and rely on top-ups, a problem that this plan is designed to eliminate.
The campaign, conceptualised by Ogilvy India, has been designed to highlight this pain point in a quirky and relatable manner. The TVC features a young man repeatedly trying to wish his girlfriend abroad on a video call, only to be interrupted each time by a low data warning. The light-hearted storyline dramatizes the frustration of running out of data at the wrong moment and introduces Vi Nonstop Hero as the solution, offering uninterrupted connectivity all day, every day.
Avneesh Khosla, CMO, Vi, said, “At a time when data has become as vital as electricity, running out of it mid-task can be deeply frustrating. With Vi Nonstop Hero, we have eliminated daily data limits, giving customers the freedom to work, stream, game and connect without interruption. We are proud to be the only telco in India to offer unlimited data access across smartphones and our new campaign brings the offering to life in a fun, relatable way.”
The company also underlined that it is currently the only telecom operator in India offering unlimited prepaid data recharges. Under this proposition, Vi Hero provides night-time unlimited data between 12 am and 6 am, Vi Super Hero offers half-day unlimited data between 12 am and 12 noon, while Vi Nonstop Hero delivers full-day unlimited access.
The new campaign will be visible across both television and digital platforms.
