Actor Rana Daggubati has turned up in support of Telugu Titans as JioStar unveiled the first film from its high-voltage Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 campaign, titled ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’. The campaign film, released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, sets the tone for the league that kicks off on August 29 on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network.
The action-driven film opens with a tense standoff at the gates of a large house where Daggubati faces a group of goons. With a snap of his fingers, he summons traditional elements like red carpets and drums, creating confusion among the opponents. He then strides forward with poise, as the group retreats, symbolising the controlled aggression of kabaddi.
Delivering the punch line, Daggubati declares, “Ghuss ke marne ki baatein toh sab karte hai, but hum Telugu Titans wale karke dikhaate hai” (Everyone talks about going on the offensive and striking, but us Telugu Titans do it and show it).
The campaign arrives at a time when the Pro Kabaddi League has undergone a major revamp in its format and rules to ensure conclusive results in every match. The new structure is expected to bring added aggression, high intensity, and competitiveness to the game.
Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League will kick off with a southern derby as Telugu Titans face Tamil Thalaivas in a high-voltage opener on August 29.
