Eurosport and Eurosport HD India, the sports channels under Warner Bros. Discovery, have secured exclusive telecast rights for the inaugural season of WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats) in India. The high-stakes professional wrestling reality competition will premiere on August 15, marking its first-ever broadcast in the country.
The announcement was made through an official press release by WBD, highlighting that WWE LFG will showcase rising stars from the WWE Performance Center battling for a coveted NXT contract. Contestants will be mentored by some of wrestling’s biggest names, including Bubba Ray Dudley, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Mickie James, Michelle McCool and Booker T.
Ruchir Jain, Head of Distribution, Eurosport, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “We are delighted to partner with WWE to bring two exciting shows, WWE LFG and WWE’s Greatest Moments, to Indian audiences. While WWE LFG offers an intense, high-stakes look into the making of tomorrow’s wrestling superstars under the guidance of legends, WWE’s Greatest Moments gives fans a nostalgic celebration of the sport’s most iconic milestones.”
The premiere of WWE LFG will air on August 15 at 9 pm, followed by WWE’s Greatest Moments at 10.30 pm. The latter, hosted by veteran announcer Michael Cole, revisits legendary matches and moments in WWE history, with insights from wrestling icons such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Kevin Owens.
Eurosport India already houses premier wrestling content, including All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and TNA Wrestling and this new addition further strengthens its wrestling portfolio in the Indian market.
