Content India 2026 to be held in Mumbai in March

After the successful run of the Content India Summit in April this year, organisers have confirmed the first three-day edition of the event, scheduled to take place from March 16-18 in Mumbai.

Registrations are now open for the industry gathering that promises to link India’s domestic entertainment market with international partners and unlock billions in untapped potential.

According to a press release, Content India 2026 will serve as a dynamic platform for cross-border collaborations, bringing together industry leaders, creators, and investors. The event will feature panel discussions, a marketplace for domestic and international content, special screenings, curated networking sessions, and more. It builds on insights from ‘The Future of the Indian Entertainment Business’ report, which points to major opportunities in content sales, acquisitions, co-productions, and services in what organisers call a “new era of collaboration.”

The announcement comes against the backdrop of a landmark India-UK trade agreement, expected to add £25.5 billion to bilateral trade annually by 2040. Organisers said the development underscores the event’s ambition of positioning India as a global content hub through strategic international engagement.

Content India 2026 will focus on twelve strategic goals: from creating globally resonant hybrid content and attracting overseas productions to showcasing India’s prowess in AI, post-production, and format exchanges. The platform will also connect the creator economy with legacy media and explore innovative funding models, while fostering co-productions through a trusted partner network.

Show partner C21’s editor-in-chief and managing director David Jenkinson said the April summit “consolidated the fact that there is real opportunity for the Indian and international market to create new partnerships in a fresh way,” adding that the 2026 edition will focus on building formats that succeed locally and internationally.

Dish TV India CEO and executive director Manoj Dobhal noted that India is at “a pivotal phase where content goes beyond entertainment—it represents influence, identity, and economic strength”, and stressed the event’s role in connecting emerging talent with real opportunities while driving bold storytelling on the global stage.
