Stand-up comedian and ‘Bigg Boss 17’ winner Munawar Faruqui is all set to make his television hosting debut with COLORS’ upcoming show ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check’. The show promises a quirky, fun-filled exploration of relationships, offering audiences a window into the dynamics of real-life celebrity couples.
As per an ANI report, the show will feature Munawar alongside veteran actress Sonali Bendre, who will bring in the wife’s perspective, while Munawar represents the husband’s point of view. The show will present a humorous yet heartwarming reality check into everyday couple quirks — from silly squabbles over wet towels to forgotten anniversaries, and everything in between.
“What’s life without a little panga?” said Munawar in a press note. “On Pati Patni Aur Panga, I’ll be bringing out the everyday moments and fun disagreements that couples go through — whether it’s about kitchen experiments or miscommunications. I’ll be sharing the pati’s side of things, while Sonali Ma’am brings in the patni’s perspective. I’m really excited to be working with her; she’s been an inspiration for years. Together, we’re here to explore the real, relatable side of relationships with a bit of fun along the way.”
According to the makers, the show will soon premiere on COLORS and bring together popular celebrity couples including Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal, and Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani. Each episode will test the chemistry of these couples through entertaining challenges and candid conversations.
The series aims to celebrate the beauty of partnerships — from unspoken glances and inside jokes to playful bickering and pet peeves. Whether it’s finishing each other’s sentences or laughing over shared memories, ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’ intends to bring viewers both laughter and emotional moments in equal measure.
With Munawar’s sharp wit and Sonali Bendre’s charm, the show is expected to strike a balance between light-hearted fun and relatable storytelling, reflecting the modern realities of love and companionship.
