Sony BBC Earth is set to elevate July’s television viewing with a mix of gripping docuseries, immersive travelogues and comedy-driven explorations. This month’s lineup features the much-awaited return of Inside ‘The Factory’ S9, the quirky travel show ‘The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan’, and an exciting anthology titled ‘Wander with the Best’ — promising something for every curious mind and adventurous heart.
As per a report from Sony BBC Earth, ‘Inside The Factory’ S9 will premiere on July 14, 2025, at 11 pm. The series steps inside some of the largest and most advanced factories across Europe, uncovering how everyday items — from chocolate seashells to hardback books — are produced at scale. The new season introduces Paddy McGuinness as host, who guides viewers through the complex machinery and innovation behind mass production. Meanwhile, Ruth Goodman dives into the rich history of the products, and Cherry Healey decodes the science that makes them possible. This season promises not only behind-the-scenes access but also untold stories of manufacturing brilliance.
Adding a dose of humour and cultural discovery to the month, ‘The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan’ will debut on July 28, airing at 10pm. British comedian Romesh Ranganathan, known for his dry wit, heads to destinations often overlooked on conventional travel lists — from Haiti to the Arctic — questioning preconceived notions while embracing raw experiences. Guided by locals and peppered with comic moments, the show blends insight with laughter, as Romesh attempts to answer whether these offbeat locations deserve their reputations or surprise us with unexpected charm.
Complementing the channel’s July slate is Wander with the Best, an anthology of Sony BBC Earth’s finest travel episodes, launching on July 14 at 10pm. This collection brings together some of the most visually rich and thought-provoking journeys — including Alexander Armstrong’s adventures in Iceland, Joanna Lumley’s path along the ancient Silk Road, Sue Perkins’ exploration of Japanese traditions, and Simon Reeve’s captivating encounters along the Ganges and in Sri Lanka.
