In a surprise move that has thrilled fans across the country, the makers of Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated action thriller ‘Coolie’ have unveiled the first look of Aamir Khan, who is set to appear in a cameo role in the film. The announcement has stirred considerable excitement, marking a rare on-screen collaboration between two of Indian cinema’s biggest names.
According to a PTI report, the glimpse of Aamir’s character was shared by Sun Pictures, the production house backing ‘Coolie’. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj—known for his hit films like ‘Kaithi’, ‘Master’, ‘Vikram’, and ‘Leo’—the film is one of the most awaited titles in Tamil cinema, with Rajinikanth leading the cast in what is being described as a high-octane action drama.
Aamir Khan, who is currently enjoying the positive reception of his latest film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, is expected to play a pivotal cameo in ‘Coolie’, adding star power and intrigue to the film’s already formidable lineup. His inclusion, though brief, has sparked speculation about his role’s relevance to the larger plot, with fans eagerly decoding clues from the recently released look.
This marks yet another bold step for director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who continues to expand his cinematic universe while pairing unexpected actors together. With Coolie, he reunites with his signature gritty storytelling style, while also crafting a stage for two legends—Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan—to share the screen, even if just for a fleeting moment.
The film is currently in production, with more details expected in the coming weeks.
