In a move to broaden the reach of its hard-hitting original documentary ‘Gateway of Europe: The Migrant Crisis’, DocuBay has announced the release of dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The decision comes shortly after the film’s English-language premiere on June 20, which coincided with World Refugee Day and sparked critical conversations globally.
As per a press release issued by DocuBay, the Hindi version of the documentary became available on June 25, followed by Telugu on June 27, and Tamil on June 30. This multilingual rollout reinforces DocuBay’s commitment to making powerful, thought-provoking content accessible to a broader Indian audience.
Set on the Italian island of Lampedusa—often described as the gateway to Europe for thousands of refugees—the documentary offers an unflinching look into one of the world’s most urgent humanitarian crises. Viewers are immersed in the harrowing journeys of migrants fleeing war, poverty, and persecution, while also witnessing the psychological and emotional toll on local communities, healthcare workers, and border officials who face wrenching ethical dilemmas.
Directed by Max Serio, ‘Gateway of Europe’ has been praised for its visual depth, emotional storytelling, and journalistic integrity. The film goes beyond statistics to humanize the crisis, offering rare insight into the resilience and desperation that define the lives of those at the heart of this global tragedy.
To accompany the multilingual launch, DocuBay has also introduced a dedicated content hub on its platform, allowing viewers to engage with the documentary and its themes in their language of choice. This initiative reflects the platform’s broader mission—to deliver globally relevant stories that resonate deeply with audiences across cultural and linguistic divides.
‘Gateway of Europe: The Migrant Crisis’ is now streaming on DocuBay in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
