The much-anticipated ECLT10 Season 3 Auction set the cricketing world abuzz, delivering record-smashing bids, intense franchise face-offs, and jaw-dropping signings that promise a power-packed season ahead.
The auction, marked by fierce competition and bold strategies, has not only raised the stakes for the league but also captivated the attention of fans and sports lovers across the country.
According to an official press release shared by ECLT10, the marquee moment of the night belonged to Lakhan Rawat, who etched his name into the league’s history by becoming the most expensive player ever. He was bought by the Rajasthan Rangers for a sensational 2.9 crores ECL coins, making a thunderous statement about the team’s determination to clinch the title this year. With Rawat’s aggressive batting prowess and consistent match-winning record, Rajasthan has clearly emerged as one of the most strategically loaded teams this season.
Adding more firepower to the auction, the Haryanvi Hunters bagged hard-hitting Anuj Khurana for 90 lakhs ECL coins. Known for his explosive presence at the crease, Khurana’s entry is expected to supercharge the Hunters’ top order. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Superstars strengthened their squad with the acquisition of Ravindra Singh for 70 lakhs ECL coins—an addition that bolsters their big-match temperament and top-order stability.
The Rajasthan Rangers weren’t done making headlines. They went on to pick up Dev Mavii for 25 lakhs and Dhruv Malik for 60 lakhs ECL coins, reinforcing their squad with a perfect mix of youth, grit, and reliability. In a major move from the South, Bangalore Bashers secured the services of Shubham Singh for 55 lakhs, a crucial middle-order pick with an impressive track record.
The Lucknow Lions, too, made waves by onboarding Rajat Dalal—a transfer from the Haryanvi Hunters. Dalal brings valuable experience and strategic depth, and will now also be leading the Lions as captain for the season.
Other important auction moves saw Biksh Chetry go for 40 lakhs ECL coins, while Karan Khandelwal and Ansh Kukreja were signed for 15 lakhs and 10 lakhs, respectively—rounding out squads with smart, budget-friendly picks.
This year’s captain line-up reflects a dynamic blend of creators and competitors. Munawar Faruqui leads the Mumbai Disruptors, Elvish Yadav takes charge of the Haryanvi Hunters, and Lakshya helms the Kolkata Superstars. Popular content creator Thugesh (Mahesh Keshwala) returns as the face of Chennai Smashers, Abhishek Malhan heads the Bangalore Bashers, and Harsh Gujral brings his wit and grit to captain Dynamic Delhi.
Speaking on the season’s ambitions, founder Himanshu Chandnani said, “ECL Season 1 and 2 proved that the fusion of cricket and digital creators has the power to create something truly unique. The response from fans was overwhelming and reaffirmed our belief in this new-age format. With Season 3, we’re taking things to the next level with even more entertainment. Our goal is to make ECL the biggest digital sports league in the country.”
Adding to the excitement, co-founder Anil Kumar noted, “With new additions like Harsh Gujral and our most expensive player Lakhan Rawat joining in alongside our already established roster, we’re building on the same incredible spirit from Season 1 and 2. We’ve pushed hard to make Season 3 even more dynamic, and we can’t wait for the action to unfold.”
With record-smashing bids, tactical team compositions, and a vibrant lineup of influencer captains, ECLT10 Season 3 is poised to raise the bar for digital sports entertainment. As the league continues to blend cricketing excellence with digital fandom, fans can gear up for a thrilling ride of rivalries, drama, and unforgettable finishes.
