Atrangii and Ullu OTT have roped in seasoned HR leader Kalpan Desai as their new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With close to 20 years of experience across top media and finance companies, Desai brings a rich blend of strategic leadership, digital transformation, and people-first culture to the twin entertainment platforms.
The announcement was made via a LinkedIn post, highlighting Desai’s impressive career journey and the responsibilities he will shoulder in this new role. Prior to this, he served as Vice President – Human Resources at Sony Pictures Networks, where he played a pivotal role in leading talent strategies across business verticals. His prior stints also include impactful tenures at Viacom18, GroupM, and Jana Small Finance Bank, where he drove digital HR initiatives, crafted globally-aligned people strategies, and cultivated high-performance cultures across teams.
In his new role, Kalpan Desai will be focusing on shaping a strong leadership pipeline, driving performance-oriented HR transformations, and aligning HR practices closely with the strategic goals of both Atrangii and Ullu OTT. His leadership will centre around enhancing employee experience, nurturing future talent, and building a resilient and agile workforce.
