In a powerful call for environmental action, Hungama Digital Media, in collaboration with the Bhamla Foundation and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), unveiled the third edition of its impactful green initiative Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 at a grand press event in Mumbai. With Bollywood stars like Ajay Devgn, Sharvari Wagh, director Imtiaz Ali, and other notable personalities in attendance, the launch set the tone for a renewed fight against plastic pollution.

As per the official press release, Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 brings together an influential creative and civic force to spotlight the dangers of plastic waste through a hard-hitting campaign rooted in the theme #BeatPlasticPollution. At the heart of this edition are two evocative short films directed by Imtiaz Ali ‘Earthing and Pyasa’. While the first features Ajay Devgn alongside Sharvari, the latter presents Devgn in a solo performance, both designed to spark urgent dialogue and inspire behavioural change.

Hungama Digital Media, as the official digital partner, will distribute these films widely across digital platforms to amplify their reach. “We are proud to continue our partnership with the Bhamla Foundation,” said Neeraj Roy, Founder & MD, Hungama Digital Media. “With Imtiaz Ali’s storytelling and Ajay Devgn’s presence, the campaign becomes a powerful tool to drive awareness and inspire change.”

Bhushan Gagrani, Municipal Commissioner of BMC, emphasized the critical need for such initiatives. “Mumbai generates a significant amount of plastic waste, and managing it requires active citizen participation. This campaign showcases how collaboration between civic authorities, corporates, and creative forces can lead to meaningful environmental impact.”

Supported by Godrej Industries Group, Ravin Group, and other stakeholders, Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 goes beyond film. It will include a series of ground-level activations such as beach clean-ups, composting workshops, afforestation drives, a green cyclothon, and educational outreach across institutions. The campaign also finds support from national bodies like UNEP India, MCGM, and MoEFCC.

Speaking at the event, Ajay Devgn, who is also the Global Ambassador for World Environment Day 2025, said, “The environment isn’t just a global concern — it’s a personal responsibility. Campaigns like Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 remind us that small actions, like eliminating single-use plastics, can build up to real, lasting change. I’m proud to lend my voice to this movement.”

Ashish Shelar, Minister of Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra, lauded the Bhamla Foundation’s commitment to environmental causes. “From beach clean-ups to securing CSR support and launching awareness drives for students — this campaign is a stellar example of people-driven change. We must ensure that films like Earthing become household conversations across India.”

Bhamla Foundation Chairman Asif Bhamla also underlined the role of community and communication. “Behaviour change is a big challenge in our country. But with accessible messages and relatable storytelling, we can encourage a shift toward sustainability — from using less plastic to protecting soil and plant life.”

Director Imtiaz Ali echoed this sentiment, stating, “Storytelling has always had the power to spark change. Earthing and Pyasa aren’t just films — they’re messages for the future.”

With a mix of cinematic appeal, digital outreach, and real-world engagement, Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 is gearing up to not only raise awareness but also motivate communities to take action making sustainability not just a message, but a movement.
