Sony Pictures Networks India’s (SPNI) production arm, Studio Next, has named Suvonkar Banerjee as its new Creative Director. Banerjee steps into the role previously held by Indranil Chakraborty and will report directly to Danish Khan, Business Head for Sony LIV and Studio Next.
Banerjee brings a wealth of experience in content creation and storytelling, having previously served as an Editor at Disney+ Hotstar. His career includes a significant tenure at Star, where he contributed to shaping content strategies.
His appointment comes amid SPNI’s leadership restructuring, which saw Danish Khan taking charge of Sony LIV and Studio Next, focusing on digital expansion. Meanwhile, Neeraj Vyas was appointed Business Head for SPNI’s Hindi entertainment channels, overseeing SET, SAB, PAL, and Hindi Movies.
