Watcho Storytellers Conclave hosted in Hyderabad

After a successful debut in Kolkata, Dish TV’s OTT platform Watcho has brought its flagship initiative the Watcho Storytellers Conclave to Hyderabad, furthering its mission to revolutionize content creation. The conclave, designed to empower filmmakers, storytellers, and content creators, serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and creative exchange.

According to a press release from Dish TV, Hyderabad, a city known for its rich cinematic heritage, became the second stop for this groundbreaking initiative, offering industry veterans and emerging talent an opportunity to connect and engage with audiences on a grand scale. With a strong focus on bridging traditional and digital storytelling, the conclave has already begun shaping the future of India’s entertainment landscape.

Building on the overwhelming response from its inaugural edition, Watcho is setting new standards by breaking barriers for budding filmmakers and storytellers. With Dish TV and Watcho’s combined reach of over 10 million households, the conclave provides creators with access to a massive audience base, promotional opportunities, and a dynamic ecosystem to showcase their work.

According to Manoj Dobhal, CEO & Executive Director of Dish TV India Ltd, the conclave is about fostering inclusivity in storytelling. “Following the overwhelming response in Kolkata, we are thrilled to bring the Watcho Storytellers Conclave to Hyderabad. The city is a hub of creativity, and this initiative offers a stage where every creator can amplify their voice and share their story.

“As we enter a digital-first era, Watcho is committed to building a space where unconventional narratives find their audience and redefine entertainment.”

Echoing this vision, Sukhpreet Singh, Corporate Head of Marketing, Dish TV & Watcho, highlighted how Hyderabad’s deep-rooted storytelling traditions make it the perfect next stop. “We were inspired by the enthusiasm in Kolkata and wanted to expand this initiative to more creative hubs across India. Hyderabad is a city brimming with talent, and through this conclave, we aim to empower storytellers to reach a larger audience while shaping the future of entertainment.”

The Hyderabad edition brought together some of the biggest names in the industry, including Anil Ravipudi, Sundeep Kishan, Sunitha Tati, Baradwaj Rangan, Sai Rajesh and Nanda Kishore Emani, who participated in insightful sessions on content evolution, digital storytelling, and striking a balance between tradition and modernity in cinema.

With the Hyderabad chapter marking another milestone in Watcho’s journey, the final edition of the Watcho Storytellers Conclave is set to take place in Mumbai, bringing together even more industry visionaries. By strengthening connections between content creators, producers, and distributors, the conclave is shaping a future where fresh, bold, and diverse narratives find their rightful place in Indian entertainment.
