The highly anticipated action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 5, 2025. The film, yet to be titled, also features powerhouse performers Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles.
Sajid Nadiadwala, head of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, announced the project on X (formerly Twitter), sharing that the filming will commence on January 6, 2025. “A spectacular cinematic journey begins on 6th Jan 2025,” the post read, building excitement for the December release, PTI reported.
The untitled film promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller, combining Vishal Bhardwaj’s signature storytelling with Shahid Kapoor’s intense performance. On Tuesday, Shahid Kapoor teased fans on Instagram with a monochrome selfie post-workout, showcasing his rugged beard and pumped-up physique. He hinted at his preparation for an ‘edgy and nasty’ 1990s gangster character, likely named Hussain Ustara.
Captioning the post, Shahid reflected on his artistic journey,”Prep time … Naya saal naya maal … Next character, next film—what can I do that I haven’t before? Sliding into the edgy nasty gangster 90s.”
This collaboration marks another intriguing venture between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, following their critically acclaimed projects ‘Haider’ and ‘Kaminey’. Known for his complex characters, Shahid’s portrayal of Hussain Ustara is expected to push creative boundaries.
The film adds to Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s robust lineup, which includes Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’, and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 4’.
With its stellar cast and a promising storyline, the yet-untitled action thriller is set to be one of the most awaited releases of 2025. Fans are eager to see Shahid Kapoor’s transformation into a menacing gangster under Vishal Bhardwaj‘s visionary direction.
