The highly anticipated Hindi film ‘Agni’, produced by Excel Entertainment, is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 6. Directed by National Award-winner Rahul Dholakia, ‘Agni’ stars Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu in lead roles, along with Saiyami Kher, Sai Tamhankar, Jitendra Joshi, Udit Arora, and Kabir Shah in pivotal roles.
This marks India’s first cinematic tribute to firefighters, exploring the courage and sacrifices of those who risk their lives to save others, PTI reported.
In ‘Agni’, a city faces a mysterious surge in fires, pushing Vitthal (played by Gandhi) and his brother-in-law Samit (played by Divyenndu), a skilled policeman, to team up to uncover the crisis. The film not only dives into the dangers faced by firefighters but also unravels Vitthal’s personal journey as he seeks respect and understanding from his family and community.
“Agni goes beyond action, portraying deep human emotions and relationships in the face of peril,” said Manish Menghani, Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India. He added that the film embodies the human struggles of first responders who fight both physical and personal battles.
Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar praised Dholakia’s direction, calling Agni a groundbreaking project that brings a fresh narrative to the global stage. “This film highlights the resilience of firefighters, with stellar performances by Pratik and Divyenndu that will leave audiences worldwide captivated,” they said.
Mark your calendars for ‘Agni’ on December 6, and witness this gripping tribute to the unsung heroes who fight fire with unwavering determination.
