Actor Sidharth Malhotra has revealed his next big project, a folk thriller titled ‘VVAN: Force of the Forest’, set to bring rural legends and the eerie mysteries of the forest to the silver screen. Marking the announcement on Chhath Puja, Sidharth posted a captivating reel on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into the haunted, forested world of the film.
The teaser opens with a rustic village scene, immediately warning viewers to tread carefully. It then transitions to chilling glimpses of the forest, setting a suspenseful tone for what promises to be an atmospheric thriller. “Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team. Can’t wait for you all to experience VVAN – Force of the Forest on the big screen in 2025,” he shared.
Sidharth’s wife, actress Kiara Advani, showed her enthusiasm by posting fire emojis on her Instagram story in response to the announcement, which Sidharth later reposted with heart emojis, charming fans with their warm exchange.
VVAN: Force of the Forest will be directed by Deepak Mishra, acclaimed for his work on the web series Panchayat. This project also marks the first on-screen pairing of Sidharth with Sara Ali Khan, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
As Sidharth explores this unique genre, ‘VVAN’ is poised to be a standout in his career, merging cultural myths with psychological suspense for an unforgettable cinematic experience. VVAN: Force of the Forest is slated for release on Chhath, 2025.
