Celebrating Kamal Haasan’s 70th birthday, the makers of ‘Thug Life‘ announced the film’s worldwide release date: June 5, 2025.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam, this Tamil-language drama reunites Haasan and Ratnam after 35 years, their last collaboration being the iconic Nayakan (1987), PTI reported.
Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies and Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, unveiled the news on social media with the caption: “His STORY, His RULES #KHBirthdayCelebrations #HBDKamalHaasan #ThugLifeFromJune5.”
The ensemble cast includes Silambarasan TR, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ali Fazal, and Vaiyapuri. Adding to the film’s grandeur, music will be composed by AR Rahman, promising a memorable soundtrack for this much-anticipated project.
With ‘Thug Life‘ marking Haasan’s 234th feature film, this reunion with Ratnam has heightened fans’ expectations for a compelling narrative driven by powerhouse performances and a rich musical score.
