YouTube, owned by Google, is set to introduce a new feature allowing creators to organize their content into seasons and episodes, mirroring the structure used by streaming platforms like Netflix.
This change aims to improve content navigation and enhance the binge-watching experience, particularly for viewers on TV, where YouTuber revenue has seen a 30 percent annual increase, TOI reported.
The new format is expected to be available across all platforms, with additional tools allowing creators to add immersive content directly to their channel pages.
Previously, creators relied on playlists and manual numbering to create episode-style content, a method that proved cumbersome for TV platforms like Apple TV and Roku.
The revamp is designed to offer a more streamlined, user-friendly experience as YouTube continues its push into living room viewing.
