Mashal Sports, the organizer of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), has announced that Season 11 of the world’s biggest kabaddi league will commence on October 18, 2024.
The new season will begin at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad and will return to the three-city caravan format.
After Hyderabad, the league will move to the Noida Indoor Stadium starting November 10 for the second leg, and then to the Balewadi Badminton Stadium in Pune from December 3 onwards. The dates and venue for the playoffs will be announced later.
Anupam Goswami, League Commissioner of the Pro Kabaddi League, expressed his excitement, stating, “After successfully completing 10 seasons, PKL Season 11 will mark a new milestone in the continued rise of the league. This would strengthen the growth of Kabaddi in India and elsewhere around the world.”
The Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 Auction, held in Mumbai on August 15-16, 2024, saw a new record with eight players being bought for over INR 1 crore each. This reflects the growing stature and popularity of the league.
Mashal Sports, in collaboration with Disney Star, has developed PKL into one of India’s most successful sports leagues. Under a sanctioned agreement with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), the league has played a pivotal role in transforming the image of kabaddi and elevating the status of its athletes, both nationally and globally.
The league’s impact is evident as several kabaddi-playing nations have strengthened their domestic programs following the participation of their players in PKL.
