The event, held at the iconic Egyptian theater, showcased the first Indian series ever to grace its historic halls, IANS reported.
The evening commenced with opening remarks from Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, setting the stage for an immersive experience. Attendees were treated to the premiere episode of the series, followed by a captivating Q&A session with the renowned series creator, director, and producer, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, moderated by Lilly Singh.
The event was graced by an array of esteemed personalities from the entertainment industry, including Rushi Kota, Punam Patel, Nisha Ganatra, Joya Kazi, Tesher, Radhi Devlukia-Shetty, Kevin Kreider, and many more, adding to the glamour and anticipation surrounding the series.
During the discussion, Lilly Singh expressed her awe and admiration for “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” revealing her mesmerizing experience after watching the initial episodes. She commended the series for its spectacular visuals and captivating storytelling.
In response, Sanjay Leela Bhansali shared insights into his journey with ‘Heeramandi,’ expressing gratitude for the opportunity to bring this ambitious project to life on an OTT platform.
