Sony LIV‘s highly anticipated nationwide quiz challenge, Quizzer Of The Year (QOTY), is set to captivate quiz enthusiasts across India as it enters its championship rounds. With exhilarating competition and intense showdowns on the horizon, the platform eagerly announces the launch of the final rounds, promising viewers an unparalleled experience of excitement and knowledge.
Presented by India’s eminent quizmaster, Siddhartha Basu, QOTY is a brainchild of Anita Kaul Basu and the team at Tree of Knowledge Digital (Digitok). The show aims to infuse a fresh twist into traditional learning, offering a blend of education and entertainment tailored to today’s young learners.
In a world where academic excellence is complemented by a thirst for diverse experiences and worldly knowledge, QOTY provides students from classes IX to XII with a unique platform to showcase their skills and intellect on a national stage. The competition, comprising three phases, commenced with daily quizzes in phase 1, culminating in the selection of 64 teams representing each zone.
From a pool of over 2000 schools across more than 300 cities, these top teams from each zone will now vie for the prestigious title of ‘Quizzer Of The Year’ and a chance to secure an educational scholarship of rupees 1 crore for the winning team. Runners-up and the third-place team will also stand to win scholarships of rupees 50 lakhs and 20 lakhs respectively.
Exclusive streaming of QOTY’s championship rounds on Sony LIV will commence from April 15th, featuring episodes from the zonal rounds hosted by seasoned quizmasters Joy Bhattacharjya and Col. Vembu Shankar, an Indian Army veteran. The journey will progress through quarterfinals, semifinals, and the ultimate showdown hosted by Siddhartha Basu, culminating in the crowning of the Quizzer Of The Year.
