In a strategic move aimed at bolstering motorsports viewership across the Indian subcontinent, Formula E and Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) have unveiled a comprehensive three-year media partnership.
The collaboration will see all Formula E races broadcast live on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV, offering fans unprecedented access to the electrifying action of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Under the agreement, SPNI will air all races of the Championship’s tenth season on Sony Sports Network channels, bringing thrilling encounters to television screens across the region. Additionally, fans can stream practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and races live on SPNI’s OTT platform, Sony LIV.
Commencing its coverage with the 2024 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix earlier this year, Sony Sports Network is set to continue its extensive broadcasting with the upcoming 2024 Misano E-Prix on April 13th and 14th. The event will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Ten 1 and Sony Sports Ten 5 channels, along with live streaming on Sony LIV.
In addition to live race coverage, SPNI will also broadcast Formula E’s behind-the-scenes series, “Unplugged,” and closely follow the journey of Maserati MSG Racing driver Jehan Daruvala in his inaugural season in the championship.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer – Distribution & International Business and Head – Sports Business at Sony Pictures Networks India, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to announce our multi-year partnership to broadcast all Formula E races live on Sony Sports Network. Formula E enjoys a loyal following among motorsports fans in India, and we expect it to grow further with the inclusion of rising star, Jehan Daruvala.”
Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer of Formula E, highlighted India’s importance as a growth market and emphasized the partnership’s significance in providing unparalleled access to Formula E content for Indian fans.
Jehan Daruvala, driver for Maserati MSG Racing, expressed his excitement, saying, “It is a dream come true to join Maserati MSG Racing, and I am committed to doing my very best for the team and the fans back home, and around the world.”
With Formula E’s upcoming race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on April 13th and 14th, followed by races in iconic cities across the globe, the Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship promises to deliver exhilarating racing action to audiences in the Indian subcontinent and beyond.
