On the International Women’s Day today, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. is celebrating the success of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiative ‘Confluence – Where Diversity Becomes Strength.’
According to a company press release, launched in January, the initiative has led to a significant milestone, with women now comprising 25 percent of the company’s workforce, showcasing a strong commitment to gender diversity and representation.
The transformative journey at Shemaroo includes various initiatives such as flexible working hours, a dedicated mother’s room, and sensitization workshops. The company fosters a supportive environment where every employee is valued, the statement added.
Internal communities like ‘Femme Power’ and ‘Sisters In Shemaroo (SIS)’ provide a safe space for women to exchange insights and mentorship, fostering a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity.
Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., emphasized, “Inclusivity is ingrained in our ethos. Diversity strengthens us, and women have been integral to our journey. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.”
COO Arghya Chakravarty highlighted the ‘Confluence’ initiative’s role in driving meaningful change, not just for women but for everyone, regardless of gender or background.

Shiza Ansari, Head of Human Resources, stated, “Our ‘Confluence’ initiative sparks conversations about diversity and inclusion, ensuring every voice matters. We look forward to a future where equity and inclusion are even stronger.”

Aligning with the 2024 theme “Inspire Inclusion,” Shemaroo transcends gender boundaries, extending DEI initiatives to embrace all diversity groups. By promoting dialogues on workplace challenges for all, the company champions a holistic approach to inclusion.
“Confluence” underscores the importance of inclusive practices as a step towards progress in DEI, reflecting Shemaroo‘s commitment to enhancing its workplace continually. The company ensures every voice is heard, and every individual is equally empowered to succeed.
