Pakistani-American stand-up comedian and actor Kumail Nanjiani is set to join the cast of the popular Hulu series ‘Only Murders in the Building’ for its upcoming fourth season. Nanjiani’s role kept mostly under wraps, is expected to play a crucial part in the season’s investigation.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in lead roles. The addition of Nanjiani comes alongside other new cast members, including Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Molly Shannon. Meryl Streep is also slated to reprise her role from the previous season, IANS reported.
Season four will pick up from the conclusion of the third installment, where the character Charles, portrayed by Steve Martin, experiences the murder of his longtime double, Sazz. The final moments of the third season revealed Sazz’s mysterious message written in her blood on Charles’ kitchen floor. The circumstances surrounding her murder and the true target remain unclear.
While specific details about the plot of the upcoming season are scarce, it is known that the main characters will embark on a trip to Los Angeles before returning to New York. The anticipated release for “Only Murders in the Building” season 4 is expected around November or December 2024.
