Netflix has revealed a stellar slate of 12 Telugu films set to hit the platform in 2024 post-theatrical releases.
Among the highly anticipated titles are ‘Buddy,’ ‘Gangs of Godavari’, ‘Tillu Square,’ Vijay Devarakonda’s 12th film, and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 109th movie.
The streaming giant expressed excitement about offering a diverse range of Telugu cinema to its subscribers. Monika Shergill, VP – Content, Netflix India, highlighted a 50 percent YoY growth in South content viewing, emphasizing the strong appeal of Telugu movies on the platform, PTI reported from Mumbai.
The lineup includes untitled projects featuring Sidhu and Karthikeya, along with Ga2 Pictures’ ninth production. Netflix users can anticipate a cinematic experience as the films will initially hit theaters before being made available for streaming worldwide.
‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, premiered on December 22. Meanwhile, ‘Devara’ is scheduled for an April 5 theatrical release, and ‘Pushpa 2’ is set to hit the screens on August 15.
With ‘Hi Nanna’ already streaming on Netflix, the platform aims to captivate global audiences with top-notch Telugu cinema and the industry’s biggest stars.
