In a strategic move, Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd. has appointed Farzin Najmi as Senior Vice President, overseeing Sports Technology and Chief Technology Officer for Enterprise IT & Business Process Engineering.
The decision signals a pivotal moment for the media and entertainment giant, as Najmi is set to lead critical aspects of Viacom18’s technological advancements, the company said in a press release.
As the head of Live Sports Technology, Enterprise IT, and Business Process Engineering, Najmi will be instrumental in shaping the technological landscape of Viacom18, a major player in the media and entertainment industry under the Network 18 umbrella. His unique ability to comprehend technology from both end-user and business perspectives has been highlighted by Rajat Nigam, Group CTO for Network18 – Viacom 18.

Najmi’s extensive expertise in broadcast technology and operations, honed through stints at major media companies including Star India, Times Television Network, and INX Media, positions him as a crucial player in implementing innovative solutions to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
