Bharat Express News Network, has announced the appointment of Yana Mir, a dynamic young journalist hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, as its new Senior Anchor.
Yana Mir’s role will encompass covering news and current affairs from the regions of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, as well as national news of significance.
As per a press release, Yana Mir held the position of Bureau Head at ITV Kashmir, stationed in Srinagar. She has also served as an Editor for renowned publications such as The Real Kashmir and TRK News.
Notably, Yana Mir has made a name for herself as the first YouTube Vlogger originating from Kashmir. Through her dedicated on-the-ground reporting, she has shed light on the challenges faced by Kashmiri women and youth. Yana Mir’s endeavors also include her participation as a TEDx Speaker from Polo View, Srinagar, and her advocacy work for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
