NDTV has appointed Prashanti Moktan to head the network’s Instagram strategy as it looks to strengthen its presence on social media and connect with a wider audience. In her new role, Prashanti will lead NDTV’s Instagram strategy and work on content, audience engagement and growth across the network’s social media platforms. According to an NDTV press release, Prashanti brings more than 13 years of experience in digital media, audience growth and content strategy. During her time at Business Today, the brand’s Instagram reach grew to 100 million per month, while follower growth increased by more than 200 percent under her leadership. Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said social media is changing how people discover and consume news. He said Prashanti’s understanding of audiences and platform-led storytelling will help NDTV build stronger connections with viewers. At NDTV, Prashanti will focus on creating social-first content formats, increasing audience engagement and reaching newer audiences across different platforms.
