Director Ayan Chakraborti collaborates with actors Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhury to present a show titled ‘Nikhoj’ on hoichoi.
True to its title, the series revolves around a mother’s relentless search for her missing daughter.
In the presence of esteemed members of the media fraternity, the actors and director convene in a press conference to officially unveil the show’s captivating official poster.
This grand event serves as a prelude to the show’s much-anticipated August premiere.
Brinda Basu (Swastika Mukherjee), the daughter of DCP Lalbazar, mysteriously disappears after a party she attended with her friends.
Romit Sen (Tota Roy Choudhury), a well-known journalist and her favourite boss and mentor, is discovered disoriented and befuddled inside a blood-splattered vehicle.
This riveting story follows forensic investigations, police protocols, romantic entanglements, deceit, lies, and the consequences of youthful indiscretions. At the heart of this enthralling mystery, however, is a mother’s agonising struggle to maintain her objectivity and sanity while her daughter is missing.
Director Ayan Chakraborti added to this by speaking about his thoughts while creating Nikhoj added, “The characters of Nikhoj have been created in such a way so that people can resonate with them. The story has various shades and emotions, but at the same time has thrills, mystery, and a ton of drama. Both Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhury have done an amazing job portraying the characters of Brinda Basu and Romit Sen.”
‘Nikhoj’ is scheduled to stream only on hoichoi, on August!
