MX Player has released the episodes of its gripping criminal thriller ‘Virodh’, which is set in the gritty world of illegal sand mining in Western Uttar Pradesh.
The MX Original series follows Kajri (Pritha Bakshi), a young sportswoman whose life is turned upside down after her father and sibling are brutally murdered.
Kajri finds herself at the mercy of her ruthless uncle Brijbhan, who takes over the family company and plans to marry her off to Vishesh, the son of a powerful local politician.
In defiance of Brijban’s plans, Kajri marries her high school lover Gagan a.k.a. Gogi (played by Abhinav Ranga), a javelin throw enthusiast, with the hope of building a life together away from the violence and corruption that surrounds them. Their joy is short-lived, however, as Brijbhan retaliates by murdering Gogi’s family, causing Kajri to make a difficult decision.
Kajri offers to marry Vishesh in a desperate effort to save Gogi’s life, but their wedding night turns into a bloodbath as a violent shootout breaks out. Can Kajri and Gogi endure the dangerous world they find themselves in while on the run from Brijbhan and his henchmen?
The engaging series, VIRODH, is directed and created by Rahul Dahiya and stars Ashish Nehra, Manoj Rathi, Jaspal Kaur, Deepak Kapoor, Geetanjali Mishra, Rajbeer Singh, Vickey, Bhavana, and Simran.
