With prime properties all over India, country’s public broadcaster Prasar Bharati presents an unique opportunity to advertisers to promote their products. And, in the process, the organisation earns revenues.
The Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has invited expression of interest (EOI) for empanelment of agencies for installation of advertisements at Prasar Bharati sites all over India.
The scope of work includes installation of LED panels, hoardings, billboards, neon signages, etc. at each site on the basis of return on investment and a revenue sharing model.
According to information put out by BECIL, interested parties should be Willing to do the following:
- a)To do capital investment for the LED panels/hoardings etc., including the civil structure.
- b) To carry out civil, electrical and the LED/hoarding installation.
- c) To bring in advertisers.
The ad inventory would be in a ratio of 80:20, wherein 20 percent is for advertisement from Prasar Bharati.
Prasar Bharati will provide only space/land, electrical connection for which it will earn on revenue share basis. However there would be no capital expenditure on part of the pubcaster.
The revenue would be shared between Prasar Bharati, the selected company and BECIL with the latter’s margin being a minimum five percent.
The revenue sharing portion (for Prasar Bharti minimum 15 percent) shall form part of vendor selection criteria. Higher the revenue margin for Prasar Bharati, better the chances of the vendor for empanelment.
