The video streaming platform ShemarooMe is all set to premiere the award-winning Gujarati film ‘21Mu Tiffin’.
Helmed by Vijaygiri Bava, the movie stars Niilam Paanchal, Netri Trivedi, Raunaq Kamdar, Jahanavi Patel, Deepan Shah, and Hitesh Thakur.
The family drama has bagged multiple international recognitions and has won the prestigious award at WRPN Women’s International Film Festival 2021.
It has also received acclaim having been part of the official selection at several film festivals including the 52nd IFFI Indian Panorama Selections, ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal competition, 16th Tasveer South-Asian Film festival 2021, and the Toronto International Women Film festival 2021.
The story revolves around Niilam Paanchal, the protagonist who plays many roles in her life like many other women in the country. She is a dutiful mother, wife, sister, and daughter and is sometimes weighed down by these titles that define her. She also runs a tiffin service and slowly makes a new friend Dhruv (Raunaq Kamdar) who makes her re-examine her life. The movie beautifully highlights how neglected and undervalued women can sometimes feel in their own homes.
