Prime Video has shared a list of nine fantasy shows that viewers can watch while waiting for the third season of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’. The list includes fantasy adventures, supernatural stories and animated series.
According to an Amazon statement yesterday, the nine shows featured in the list are ‘Carnival Row’, ‘Good Omens’, ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’, ‘Grimm’, ‘Merlin’, ‘His Dark Materials’ and ‘The Librarians’.
‘Carnival Row’ stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. The series follows an investigator looking into a murder in a fantasy world where mythical creatures live as refugees among humans.
‘Good Omens’ features Michael Sheen as an angel and David Tennant as a demon. The two become friends and join forces to prevent an apocalypse that could destroy the world. Meanwhile, ‘Game of Thrones’ follows the power struggles among noble families in the fictional lands of Westeros and Essos.
‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ stars Lucy Lawless as a warrior who fights injustice and helps people in need. ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ is an animated fantasy series based on the ‘Critical Role’ Dungeons and Dragons series. It follows a group of heroes who come together for an adventurous quest.
The list also includes ‘Grimm’, which follows detective Nick Burkhardt as he discovers that he comes from a family of monster hunters. ‘Merlin’ offers a fresh take on the legendary stories of King Arthur, Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table.
‘His Dark Materials’, based on Philip Pullman’s book series, is a fantasy thriller set across multiple universes, with a mysterious kidnapping at the centre of its story. ‘The Librarians’ follows a secret organisation that protects history and works to stop supernatural threats.
The list brings together different types of fantasy stories for viewers who enjoy magical adventures, mythical characters and supernatural mysteries.
