Tamil romantic drama ‘Nooru Kodi Vaanavil’, starring Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani, is set to premiere directly on Zee5 Global on November 6, 2026. Written and directed by filmmaker Sasi, the film explores love, relationships, emotional dilemmas and the difficult choices that shape people’s lives.
According to a Zee Entertainment announcement, the film is produced by Balaji Kapa under Madhav Media and Arun Arunachalam Production. It will be available on Zee5 Global through a pay-per-view model, giving audiences an opportunity to watch the film digitally.
Known for films such as ‘Sollamale’, ‘Poo’, ‘Pichaikkaran’ and ‘Sivappu Manjal Pachai’, Sasi has built a distinct identity in Tamil cinema through stories centred on human emotions, relationships and everyday complexities. Following his latest hit ‘Nooru Saami’, the filmmaker returns with a romantic drama that examines how love evolves as people grow, their expectations change and circumstances influence their decisions.
At the centre of ‘Nooru Kodi Vaanavil’ is a relationship in which the characters navigate differing expectations, personal dilemmas and the influence of people around them. Blending romance with family emotions, the film explores how relationships are tested by life’s circumstances and the choices individuals make along the way.
Speaking about the film, writer and director Sasi said that the story explores how relationships evolve as people grow and face changing expectations and difficult choices. He added that he wanted to portray the emotional journey of two people navigating their feelings while dealing with the realities around them. He hopes audiences will connect with the characters and find reflections of their own experiences in the story.
Harish Kalyan, who plays Vino, described the role as a meaningful experience, as the character’s journey explores the emotions associated with love and relationships. He said the film goes beyond conventional romance to examine how priorities and expectations change with time, and how people face difficult decisions when their feelings and circumstances become complicated.
Siddhi Idnani said the film presents relationships in a deeply human way, exploring the uncertainty, differing expectations and decisions that can accompany love. She added that portraying these emotional nuances and examining how personal choices and people around us influence relationships made the project special for her.
Harish Goyal, Territory Head – Americas, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said audiences in the US and Canada have shown a growing appetite for regional Indian cinema, particularly stories that are emotionally authentic and culturally rooted. He said ‘Nooru Kodi Vaanavil’ brings together a contemporary relationship story, Sasi’s distinctive storytelling and the appeal of its lead actors.
Goyal added that Zee5 Global is pleased to bring the film to Tamil audiences across North America as part of its efforts to strengthen its offering of premium Tamil entertainment for viewers who want to stay connected with stories from home.
‘Nooru Kodi Vaanavil’ will premiere exclusively on Zee5 Global on November 6, 2026, through a pay-per-view release.
