Prime Video will premiere its new reality competition series ‘Fallout Shelter: The Experiment’ on January 13, 2027. Inspired by the ‘Fallout’ video game franchise and television series, the show will feature contestants competing for a cash prize of $1 million.
According to an Amazon official announcement yesterday, the series will have 10 episodes and will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. The first four episodes will be released on January 13, followed by three episodes every week until January 27.
The show will bring everyday participants into Vault-Tec’s bomb-proof vaults, where they will take part in a series of challenging tasks. These will include intense drills, psychological dilemmas and trials that test their behaviour and moral choices.
The contestants will compete against each other until one winner emerges and takes home the $1 million prize. The series will combine large-scale challenges with social and psychological gameplay inspired by the world of ‘Fallout’.
The series will be produced by Studio Lambert, known for shows such as ‘The Traitors’, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ and ‘Undercover Boss’. It will be co-produced by Kilter Films, the production company behind ‘Westworld’ and ‘Fallout’, in association with Bethesda Game Studios, the team behind the ‘Fallout’ video game franchise.
