Zee Kannada has launched ‘Agent JD’, an interactive digital campaign for its fiction show ‘Jagadhatri’, inviting viewers to step into the series’ investigative world through three missions inspired by locations across Karnataka. The initiative combines entertainment, digital participation and rewards, extending the show’s storyline beyond television.
Starring Vijay Lalitha Surya, Mokshita Pai and Kavitha Gowda, ‘Jagadhatri’ follows a mission-driven narrative that forms the foundation of the new digital experience. Viewers can participate by visiting agentjd.zee5.com, where they can take on three challenges designed around different locations in the state.
The first mission, Mission Bengaluru: Save the Child, draws inspiration from Bengaluru’s urban landscape and buildings. Participants must complete the challenge of rescuing a child.
The second mission, Mission Mangaluru: Diffuse the Bomb, is set against a coastal backdrop inspired by Mangaluru’s beaches and shipping containers. The challenge requires participants to diffuse a bomb as part of their virtual assignment.
The third mission, Mission Hubballi: Defeat the Mastermind, takes place against the backdrop of a railway platform in Hubballi. Participants must overcome the mastermind to complete their mission.
Through these challenges, Zee Kannada aims to move viewers beyond passive television viewing and encourage active participation in a digital experience linked to a fiction show. By incorporating recognisable locations from Karnataka, the campaign connects the series’ investigative themes with a locally inspired interactive format.
The initiative also offers an incentive for participation, with the top 10 winners getting a chance to win prizes. The reward element adds another layer to the campaign, encouraging viewers to engage with all three missions.
With ‘Agent JD’, Zee Kannada is extending the ‘Jagadhatri’ experience across television and digital platforms, using interactive storytelling to create a more immersive and engaging connection with its audience.
