Marvel Television and Marvel Animation unveiled a slate of upcoming Disney+ shows at New York Comic Con 2026 (NYCC), announcing a new spy thriller, three ‘Marvel Zombies’ event series and fresh seasons of fan-favourite titles, including ‘Daredevil: Born Again’and ‘X-Men ’97’.
The announcements also included a first look at ‘VisionQuest’ and the next chapter of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’, according to an article published on Marvel.com.
The biggest reveal was ‘Zodiac’, a new Marvel Television series set to debut on Disney+ in 2028.
Described as a spy thriller, the show will begin filming this spring, though Marvel Head of Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise Brad Winderbaum kept further details under wraps.
Marvel also confirmed three new two-part event series under the ‘Marvel Zombies’ banner.
‘Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier’ will arrive around Halloween 2027, followed by ‘Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu’ in 2028 and ‘Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian’ in 2029.
Winderbaum teased a gory yet visually striking continuation, adding that production was about halfway through animatics.
The New York Comic Con 2026 is being held from October 8-11.
In India, Disney and Marvel-related shows and films stream on JioHotstar, the streaming platform managed and owned by Reliance Industries-Disney joint venture JioStar, apart from being released in theatres.
Among the returning animated shows, ‘X-Men ’97’ Season 3 will premiere in 2027, with footage teasing the Brotherhood of Mutants and a possible wedding for Gambit and Rogue. A fourth season is also planned.
Meanwhile, ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Season 2 will debut on January 13, with Peter Parker confronting new threats and the return of the black symbiote suit.
On the live-action front, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will return for its third and final season in 2027. Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones appeared at the panel to unveil new footage.
The event also spotlighted ‘VisionQuest’, which explores Vision’s next chapter and his complicated relationship with Ultron, voiced by James Spader.
The series premieres on October 14 on Disney+, with attendees getting an exclusive screening of its first episode.
Hosted by Brandon Davis, the panel featured Winderbaum and special guests, including the casts and creators of the upcoming shows.
The announcements spanned Marvel’s animation and live-action slate, with releases planned from October 2026 through 2029.
